The Annual Retail Industry Dinner 2009, in partnership with MasterCard Europe, was once again the biggest night in the retail calendar.

Over 1200 key decision makers from the retail sector, government and civil service met for an evening of unrivalled networking and entertainment.

We were delighted that The Rt Hon Lord Mandelson delivered this year’s keynote address. As Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Lord Mandelson is regarded as one of the main players of the modern Labour Party and its rebranding as “New Labour”.

Rory Bremner then delighted and entertained us with this year’s after-dinner speech. Bremner is Britain’s best-loved impressionist. With a repertoire of over one hundred characters, he impersonates everyone from film stars to chat show hosts, sportsmen to newsreaders and politicians.

Guests were then treated to a variety of after-dinner entertainment with a  casino and live band. Plus, every guest walked away with a goody bag full of gifts.
