UK Retail Sales Monitor
Provides year-on-year and month-on-month price changes (Inflation Rates). Food and non-food are split out into the following categories:
• Food
• Ambient Food
• Fresh Food
• Non-Food
• Clothing & Footwear
• Furniture & Flooring
• Electrical
• DIY, Gardening & Hardware
• Books, Stationery & Home Entertainment
• Health & Beauty
• Other Non-Food
The basket of goods on which the category data is based has been significantly expanded. As a result, the monthly and annual inflation rate is based on the new index which started in December 2005.
A shortened version of the Shop Price Index report for the UK is available below. The full report is available as part of the Retail Sales Monitor subscription package and to all members of the BRC. This includes detailed commentary and analysis of the UK, Scotland and London reports, including data tables and graphs.
