SCOTTISH RETAILERS GIVE POLITICIANS A 'SHOPPING LIST FOR CHANGE'

SRC BUDGET REACTION

SRC Policies and Issues

The SRC’s central aim is to ensure that the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government creates the right trading environment to allow for continuing investment, job creation and innovation by retailers.

The SRC brings retailers together in one, single united voice.

From planning and trading standards officers in local authorities, through to the departments and agencies of the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government, to the European institutions in Brussels, all aspects of the machinery of government now impact on the modern retail sector.

Retail is important at the individual, community and national level, and it is for this reason that the industry requires a policy framework which will preserve and develop its position, as well as allowing the sector to meet its corporate social responsibility duties in relation to the communities within which it operates.
