Online Retail Monitor
The BRC-Google Online Retail Monitor (ORM) measures changes and trends in the growth of retail search terms over time. Google compiles data by weighting terms according to their historical likelihood of being related to retail searches.
The ORM covers a number of metrics, including ‘volume of searches’, popular search terms, national and international searches as well as a mobile/desktop search term breakdowns. The mobile measure includes smartphone and tablet searches. The metric which measures pure-online and multi-channel retail search growth is calculated using click through rates of Google Ads.
