FIRE SAFETY - RAFKAP

In 2009, the BRC and the Chief Fire Officers' Association (CFOA) launched the Retail and Fire Key Authority Partnerships (RAFKAP), which works to deliver consistency in fire inspection and enforcement, enabling fire and rescue services to target resources on high-risk businesses.

Our members are committed to high standards of customer and employee safety, with fewer inspections, consistency of enforcement across their sites, and a lower administrative burden. Fire services can then target resources at higher-risk businesses, assisting retailers to achieve fewer false alarms.
