Participation in the BRC-KPMG Retail Sales Monitor
WHY DO RETAILERS PARTICIPATE IN THE RSM SCHEME?
Due to the rapid turnaround of sales data, the figures provide the very latest information and unparalleled analysis of retail sales, sector by sector.
Participating in the RSM allows retailers to:
- Receive the most up-to-date performance indicators available to retailers on a weekly and monthly basis providing detailed reports for internal analysis and strategic decisionmaking.
- Analyse the very latest trading data by value in like-for-like and total sales formats.
- Analyse category specific trading data.
- Benchmark their sales against the industry average.
- Analyse performance of 12 retail sectors in any given trading period.
- Assist in identifying trends and forecasting
As well as weekly and monthly sales reports, participating retailers receive a detailed analysis of the figures in a monthly RSM report, which is also despatched to the media.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PARTICIPATE?
Participating in the RSM is free to all BRC retail members. It is one of the many benefits of membership. Non-BRC retail members may participate in the RSM for an annual fee.
