BRC EVENTS PARTNERSHIP

EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BRC ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Why should you consider partnering with the BRC on events?

The British Retail Consortium is the UK’s leading trade association for retail representing an industry worth £265 billion. The BRC’s coverage includes every type of retailer, from the large multiples and department stores through to independents. Between them they sell a wide range of products through town centre, suburban, out of town, rural and virtual stores.

Last year, BRC events attracted over 3,000 decisions-makers at all levels from across the retail sector. Partnership of these events provides an excellent vehicle for your organisation to make an impact in the retail sector.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Raising brand profile
  • Increasing product and service awareness
  • Networking with leading retailers at a senior level
  • Aligning your organisation with the UK's leading retail trade association

What events does the BRC organise?

The BRC holds a range of events throughout the year that offer excellent networking opportunities and the chance to share best practice. We look for partners from our Associate Members who will be able to bring additional value to the event and who will benefit from meeting with the attendees.

Our range of events includes:

  • Annual Retail Industry Dinner
  • Annual Conference
  • Annual Lecture
  • Conferences
  • Directors’ Networking Evenings
  • Parliamentary Receptions
  • Working Lunches

For more information on forthcoming events, click here to download the BRC Events 2009 document (PDF).

Who attends BRC Events?

In short, retailers. Our events are organised for retailers by retailers. We set up advisory panels as well as use our Policy Action Groups as sounding boards.

The following chart profiles the attendance of the BRC’s Annual Retail Industry Dinner:

What kind of partnership is available?

Your company can be involved on a number of levels:

  • Working in association with the BRC where your company is the only partner
  • Involvement in part of a conference, for example the lunch, evening drinks reception or a breakout stream
  • Exhibition stand

What do other event partners say?

“We were delighted with the calibre and seniority of the IT Directors that the BRC invited to the recent IT Director’s Networking Dinners. We believe this is due to the reputation and impartiality of the BRC as well as the network of contacts they have developed over the years. The evening provided Microsoft with an excellent opportunity to engage our customers in a stimulating and strategic discussion around issues pertinent to the retail industry, thereby strengthening our existing relationships.”
Vanessa Mahoney, Retail Industry Marketing Manager,
Microsoft Limited

“Many thanks for the invite to the dinner on Wednesday. [I] Had a great time. Our guys worked really well with your team and it was a magnificent result. Gets better every year! We've had very good feedback from all parts of the business and the fact that so many people stayed past midnight in our lounge was very encouraging. Please thank all concerned your side for a great job.”
Richard Green, Director of Strategic Marketing,
The Royal Bank of Scotland
