If you would like to apply for a proof-of-age card to verify your age, below is a list of all the current national and regional schemes. Click on a scheme for more information:
You have the option of applying for a proof-of-age card from a national card supplier or if you live in any of the areas listed at the bottom of this page, you may want to apply for a card from a regional supplier. The decision to opt for a regional or national card is a personal choice; some cards do offer a range of benefits. The important factor though is to ensure the card scheme chosen is PASS accredited and that the card carries the unique PASS hologram. The requirements of card suppliers do vary, however you are likely to be asked to provide one or more of the following: • Copy of your Birth Certificate, you may be asked to get this verified by a referee who has seen the original. • Copy of the back page of your passport which details your personal information and your photograph • Sample of your signature • Copy of a photo driving licence • Copy of your medical card Please also note: • Prices for the cards do vary across the card issuers • Some providers offer different age range proof-of-age-cards • Process and delivery times may vary across the suppliers PASS accredited cards may be used to open a bank account. Some banks and other financial institutions may be happy to accept your PASS hologram-bearing card as one proof of your identity if you wish to open a basic bank account or similar arrangement, although you will probably be asked for more formal proof if seeking a loan or other facility. Unfortunately, however, we cannot guarantee that any particular bank will accept your card. Each bank makes its own policy in such matters. |
