POLICIES & ISSUES

The work of the BRC is structured around Policy Action Groups (PAGs). Members of the PAGs meet regularly to discuss, debate and form responses to Government on policies that could add burdens on the retail sector should they be approved unchallenged. Within each PAG are a number of Working Groups which focus on specific issues.

Only BRC retail and trade association members can join a PAG or Working Group.

Retail: Delivering Sustainable Recovery

The BRC has published its campaigning priorities for the year ahead. Given the importance of the sector, both at a local level as the heart of the community, as well as at a national level as the engine of the economy, the BRC is keen that decision makers know and understand the huge benefits retail delivers, as well as those policy areas where we feel regulatory change is necessary.
