The Retail Audit Group (RAG) is a very successful special interest group that holds meetings in January, May and October each year, currently in Milton Keynes, and Coventry. The RAG is affiliated to both the Institute of Internal Auditors - UK and Ireland (IIA) and the BRC.
The group is run by internal auditors for internal auditors. It is well established and well supported by those involved. The group's membership comes from a wide variety of backgrounds, including most high street names.
The meetings aim to provide relevant topical information and opportunities to build relationships in internal audit circles. In setting the agendas the management team looks for presenters from outside and inside the group and aims to cover high level and more detailed subject matter. Each meeting normally includes a syndicate session and an open forum so that those present can seek information and share experience with other internal auditors.
Who can join?
Members are not required to belong to the affiliate organisations mentioned above.
Membership of the group is open to all Internal Auditors who are actively working in a retail environment. They may be working within a retail organisation or for an external provider of internal audit services to a retail organisation. A retail environment includes all types of organisations that sell goods and/or services to the general public.
