The rent monthly campaign began in May 2006 with a letter from British Retail Consortium Director-General, Kevin Hawkins, to the largest UK landlords calling on the property industry to accept this more equitable alternative to the current quarterly rent regime. The campaign has generated enormous support from retailers of all type and size and every day more tenants are signing up to the initiative.
