The Scottish Executive has formed a consultative group to look at legislating for BIDs north of the border. The Scottish Retail Consortium was the first organisation invited to participate in this group. Scotland has responded to the advice of the BRC/SRC and is actively investigating methods for involving a mandatory levy on property owners.
